Caring for Your Kayla's Collective Piece

Each piece in the Kayla's Collective is made from materials gathered along Florida's coastline — shells, shark teeth, and sea-worn finds that carry a little of the ocean with them. With the right care, they'll stay beautiful for years to come.

Keep it dry

Natural shells and shark teeth are sensitive to moisture. Remove your jewelry before swimming, showering, washing your hands, or hitting the beach. (We know — the irony isn't lost on us.)

Store it with intention

Keep your piece in a soft pouch or jewelry box away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid tossing it in a bag where it can knock against other items — shells and teeth can chip if handled roughly.

Away from chemicals

Perfume, lotion, hairspray, and cleaning products can dull the finish and damage natural materials. Make your jewelry the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.

Clean gently

A soft, dry cloth is all you need. Never use water, jewelry cleaner, or ultrasonic cleaners on natural shell or tooth pieces.

A note on natural materials

Because every shell and shark tooth is one-of-a-kind, slight variations in color, texture, and shape are part of what makes your piece uniquely yours.
